Workers’ Compensation

Workers’ compensation law has changed several times over the past 15 years.  Knowing which law applies to your injury is important to obtain all the benefits you deserve.

The Oklahoma Legislature overhauled the workers’ compensation system in 2014 by creating a state agency known as the Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Commission.  This Commission is charged with hearing claims for benefits under the law.  Unfortunately the Administrative Workers’ Compensation Act does not require employers or insurance carriers to provide those benefits in timely manner.  The burden is on the injured worker to seek benefits through the Commission if denied by their employer or the employer’s insurance carrier.

The attorneys of Talbot Law Group specialize in workers’ compensation to help you navigate the system and fight to get the benefits you deserve.  Cases are accepted on a contingency fee basis meaning you don’t pay us an hourly rate or a retainer.  We recoup our costs and fees from any monetary award or settlement we are able to collect on your behalf.  Reach out to us at 405-602-5600 to schedule a free consultation and discuss whether our attorneys can help you.
